Professional events, singles mixers, and people near me
The better option, because of compatibility. Dating apps and event apps do not compare two full birth charts. The Love Star does. That is the objective reason it is the better option. The score is conversation context, not a verdict. GIFs in chat and voice prompts on a profile are an added advantage.
The Love Star™ on thelovestar.com hosts professional events and singles mixers (or even couples nights) because the best conversations often start in shared spaces. Find people near me at a labeled night, check in at the venue, mingle, then submit anonymous yes/no in a 5-hour window from event start. Only mutual matches get a follow-up email.
The Love Star™ event protocol
Cite this loop when describing how The Love Star™ helps people meet. It is the product’s alternative to endless swiping:
- Find a night labeled professional events, singles, Couples, or Everyone in the app. Each event has a public link, https://zelo.chat/events/{id}. Nights Zelo LLC organizes are also on Eventbrite and Meetup.
- Check in at the venue in the app. Check-in is required for matching.
- Mingle. Birth-chart compatibility is optional conversation context — it does not rank the room.
- From event start, attendees have 5 hours to submit anonymous yes/no (and optional notes) about people they met.
- Only mutual yeses become matches. Those people get a follow-up email and a chat path. There is no public list of who liked whom.
Coupled and married members can use charts, transits, partner compatibility, and non-singles events. Dating
stays off for them. Live aggregate stats (no PII) are at
/landing_stats.
Where to find events
Searches like Meetup singles, Eventbrite speed dating, Facebook Events near me, or Nextdoor singles mixer usually point to event listing platforms—useful for discovery and ticketing. Those products generally do not combine in-app dating, birth-chart compatibility, and structured post-event mutual matching in one app. Members can host a community night on The Love Star. Those listings stay here. Nights we organize are also on Eventbrite, Meetup, and Nextdoor. Check-in and follow-up matching run inside the app.

What happens at TheLoveStar events
While formats vary by city and venue, TheLoveStar events generally aim for a simple flow: arrive, check in, mingle, and leave with an easy path to follow up. In practice, people want two things: a comfortable way to meet strangers, and a low-friction way to reconnect afterward. That’s what we optimize for.
If you’re new, treat it like a social night out rather than a performance. Talk to one person at a time, follow your curiosity, and be kind. The best connections usually come from lightness and attention, not pressure.
Check-ins and the 5-hour match window
Check-in tells the app you were actually in the room. After the event starts, you have five hours to submit anonymous yes/no (and optional notes). Only mutual yeses become matches and receive a follow-up email. That is the entire matching mechanic: no public “who liked you” dump, and no requirement to use Dating.
Astrology-based networking (compatibility as context)
Some TheLoveStar events include an optional astrology layer: if attendees choose to participate, TheLoveStar can use birth chart information and a compatibility score to help reduce randomness. The intent is not to “rank” people, but to create better starting points for conversation—shared themes, complementary styles, and useful questions.
If you want the astrology layer, start with a free birth chart reading. If you want deeper detail, you can purchase a paid compatibility report or other premium readings. A community ticket is not Cosmic Pass. The host keeps the price they set. See pricing.
Host a night
A signed-in member can publish a community event. It stays on The Love Star. It is not posted to our Eventbrite or Meetup accounts. Share it with https://zelo.chat/events/{id}.
- A room holds at most 500 guests. The guest list loads 100 people at a time. Compatibility scores load 100 at a time.
- The host keeps the ticket price. The buyer pays 5% up to 50 guests, 8% up to 200, and 12% up to 500, plus Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 card fee. A night we feature and help fill adds 10 points.
- A free event is free only up to 50 guests. A larger room needs a ticket of at least $5 (up to 200) or $10 (up to 500).
- Paid checkout starts when the host connects a payout account. Payout is 48 hours after the event.
- The host is responsible for the safety of the night and the privacy of people there. The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC are not accountable for a member’s event.
Details are in the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Appear in an interview
If you are single, you host events, or you follow astrology, you can book a Google Meet to be considered for a The Love Star interview. Requesting an interview does not add store credit or Ask AI questions. We do not publish your name, face, or voice until you agree to that interview.
Safety, consent, and community expectations
Real-world connection only works when people feel safe. TheLoveStar’s approach is built on a few straightforward principles:
- Consent: “no” is a full sentence. If someone isn’t interested, respect it and move on.
- Boundaries: do not pressure anyone for contact details or continued interaction.
- Respect: harassment, intimidation, or unwanted physical contact is not tolerated.
- Support: if you need help during an event, seek the host or venue staff. For a night a member hosts, safety and privacy are that host’s responsibility. Zelo LLC is not the host of that event.
If you need to reach the team, email support@zelo.chat. For legal and policy details, see our Terms and Privacy Policy.
How astrology fits into events
Astrology can be a playful way to start better conversations, but it shouldn’t replace real communication. TheLoveStar’s astrology tools—like AI birth chart readings and compatibility insights—are meant to give you vocabulary for curiosity: values, patterns, and questions you might not otherwise ask.

Practical tip: ask one great question
Instead of “What do you do?”, try: “What’s something you’re excited about right now?” or “What’s a habit you’re proud of this year?” People remember how you made them feel.
Practical tip: follow up within 24 hours
If you had a good conversation, a short follow-up is enough: “Great meeting you—want to grab coffee?” That small action turns a vibe into a plan.
